Conservation That Works
Welcome to The Gumtree Lane Foundation (GTL), where science, finance, and Indigenous knowledge come together to protect Australia’s most biodiverse ecosystems

About Us

We believe conservation isn’t just an obligation—it’s an investment in our collective future. Our approach goes beyond traditional philanthropy. By combining scientific rigor, Indigenous knowledge, and financial innovation, we create high-impact conservation models that attract private investment while ensuring lasting ecological success.

The Gumtree Lane Difference

When you Invest with Gumtree Lane

Investing with the Gum Tree Lane Foundation means supporting the protection and regeneration of some of the most ecologically significant landscapes in Australia. Through Corymbia Credits—issued upfront and backed by independently verified conservation outcomes—your investment drives real, measurable impact. Funds are held in a safeguarded account to ensure transparency and accountability, and all projects are grounded in science and aligned with leading global frameworks like TNFD and SBTN. As a not-for-profit, we exist to serve the land, not profit from it. We see ourselves as temporary custodians with a deep responsibility to ensure the ecosystems we protect today continue to thrive for generations to come. Our work is designed not only to restore nature but to transform how regeneration is funded and shared, creating models that others can adopt, adapt, and build upon.

The Gum Tree Lane Methodology & Corymbia Credits Transforming Conservation into a Scalable Investment

At Gumtree Lane, we believe that biodiversity conservation should be both measurable and financially viable. That’s why we created Corymbia Credits—an innovative conservation finance model designed to unlock large-scale private investment in nature.

How do we ensure impact?

Credits are issued at the beginning of the project, giving immediate funding certainty for landholders and fixed, upfront costs for buyers without future exposure to market volatility.

Buyer funds are safeguarded in a segregated account, providing clear financial security and ensuring that payments align with ecological delivery.

Projects must demonstrate measurable improvements against an established ecological baseline, verified by independent auditors.

Landholders have flexibility to design and implement conservation actions suited to their unique site conditions, promoting better and more sustainable outcomes.

Corymbia Credits are structured to align with emerging standards such as the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and Science-Based Targets for Nature (SBTN), providing buyers with confidence in the quality and durability of the environmental outcomes.

Corymbia Credits: Investing in a Living Legacy

Corymbia Credits aren’t just offsets—they are active investments in biodiversity regeneration. They create financial incentives for conservation while ensuring lasting protections for the land and its custodians.
With Corymbia Credits, nature isn’t just protected—it thrives.
